There
are some exciting new developments for the 5th Modena Cento Ore
Classic to be held from 19 to 22 June 2004, starting from and
returning to Modena as in previous years.
This exciting regularity and speed race for historic cars will
be held over a completely renewed course with circuit races on
the Mugello, Misano and Magione race tracks, including the traditional
appointment at the Ferrari test track at Fiorano.
While the Speed section will take into account the special stages
and circuit races as usual, there are new elements in the regularity
section: as well as the elegance competition, there will be a
greater number of time stages and higher average speed will be
allowed in the circuit trials.
Another novelty for next year's event will be the creation of
a new section entitled "Collectors Meeting", reserved to no more
than 20-25 classic and sports cars, divided into the following
classes:
-
Class A Rally cars from 1965 to 1990 With competition
history and in their race livery.
-
Class B Ferrari 550 Maranello Barchetta
-
Class C Bugatti Tipo 35
-
Class D Maserati Quattroporte
-
Class E Ferrari 288GTO-F40-F50-Enzo
-
Class F Rally cars with Martini Racing Team livery
This new section has been created to meet the needs of participants
on a tighter schedule who do not want to get involved with racing
licenses, chronometers and homologation fiches, to allow them
to take full part in the Modena Cento Ore Classic, over the same
course (including race tracks) but only for the first two days.
Hospitality has been arranged for these participants (for two
persons per entered car) in superior category hotels only at advantageous
rates, thanks to the generosity of some sponsors.
