A tradition that has become the symbol of a culture and a passion with roots into the past. In fact we have to go back to 1909 to find the beginnings of this story. That's the year when they started "Record Mondiale del Miglio" (the world record mile) race, a sporting event that puts Modena in the international spotlight. By the 20's Modena had established itself as the permanent home for two very important events: the historic Modena track has hosted the "Three-Province Race" and the "Modena Grand Prix". Of course the prestigious Mille Miglia (Thousand Miles) always includes Modena as an important part of its itinerary and all sorts of rally events take place in the Modena area. Thanks to the enthusiasm and ever increasing participation, the most prestigious automobile racing teams have linked their names and the glory of their victories to Modena: Ferrari, Maserati, Stanguellini and De Tomaso.
