press release del 02/19/2010

The racing car capital of Modena is abuzz, for the preparations are now under way for the forthcoming tenth edition of the Modena Cento Ore Classic event, scheduled to take place from 11 to 15 June.

This double-figure edition reflects the enviable success of an event, that appeals in particular to foreign entrants, who throughout its duration are able to witness a succession of great performances once offered only by the great “classic” events of yesteryear.

It is the structure of the event, a formula which combines racing on track and road with breathtaking scenery and parties, that lives up to their expectations and taking part allows them to experience the same thrills and excitement as their predecessors.

Drivers who would prefer to push their vehicles to a lesser extent may enter the Regularity Section, where they will retain the same degree of recognition in terms of level and skill as the other drivers. In this way they can take part in the event without less risk of major technical problems.

The course, which is changed each year, is decided on the basis of the distribution of the three racing circuits selected for the track trials and the 12 special road stages will be held along the routes connecting the said racing circuits.

Official notification of the Cento Ore event will be given a few days prior to the start of the race, thus adding to the sense of mystery and attraction for the unknown to spark the imagination of the participants.

Special initiatives will be promoted to make the tenth anniversary of this event a memorable one.

In view of the biennial frequency of the event as of this year, priority will be given to the first one hundred teams to submit their application.
